Interieurstyling met planten

Plants are very nice to have, but sometimes people find it difficult to give them a good place in their homes in their busy lives. This is because most plants like it when they are placed in a fixed spot and not moved around too much. In fact, moving a plant often causes unnecessary stress. Fortunately, when placing a plant in your interior, you can prepare in advance by making a plan and thinking about the tips we have for you here.

Color

Whereas the interiors of a few years ago had mostly black and white tones and everything had to be tough, now nature elements are also present again. Today's interior styling is a lot smoother and not everyone follows the "normal" trends. Nevertheless, we can give some general advice. After all, plants often provide color. And playing with color creates a more dynamic, homely environment. Parts of the room that feel cold or too tight in terms of color can be broken up nicely with plants. They also provide calmness in a busier environment. Lighter plants also enhance the darker plants in your collection. By putting them together, you make your interior more exciting and lively.

Shapes

Many articles on garden plants address the playfulness of layering in the garden. By playing with heights and with sizes and shapes of plants, you can create a more spatial effect. The same, of course, applies to your gems in the home. Rare tropical plants can create the same effect as plants and elements in your garden. For example, combine hanging plants with wide, upright plants and use elevations in your room. By putting small plants near your beautiful, large eye-catchers, you can make them look even bigger. In doing so, you can make your own "indoor jungle" look bigger and fuller.

Groups

You don't have to arrange plants neatly across an entire room on each tray or cabinet. Feel free to put them together in groups. We also recommend this when the plants are healthy. The great advantage of this is also that they provide higher humidity in their immediate environment. So the plants benefit from each other! In addition, plants in groups are also easier to care for because you can water them more easily, for example. Groups of plants of different species provide dynamics and playfulness.

Everywhere

Often people keep keeping plants limited to 1 room. This is just not necessary and there are also many more spaces that benefit from plants in terms of styling. A hallway where only coats are hanging and some shoes are standing quickly looks boring. With a plant you can decorate this space beautifully. This also applies to other rooms with other functions. Bedrooms and bathrooms can also be used as spaces to place your plant. A plant in your bedroom has great health benefits, because it is good for the humidity and a houseplant reduces the air as well!

Acoustics

By keeping plants in normally cavernous rooms, you ensure that acoustics improve. Not only do curtains, wood and fabric furniture improve acoustics, but plants contribute to this as well. The reverberation of a house can be annoying when you want to play your favorite music or have friends over. That chatter is quickly considered distracting. That reverberation is eliminated when you put plants down because they can absorb the sound better and don't bounce back as much. So plants are a good addition to rooms where there is a lot of reverberation, such as a bathroom or hallway.
