Tropical interior

Tropical plants can not only be found in the Jungle of Terrariums, but can also be kept well with the right care. This way you get the holiday and create a beautiful, green oasis in the room. 

Room temperature

These beautiful plants are originally found in tropical rain forests and are naturally used to a lot of heat. They thrive on a tropical climate that is relatively warm and humid. Did you know that the temperature in a tropical rainforest never comes under 16 ° C? During the day it is even on average 29 ° C.

Tropical climate

The rainforest is one of the most rich and oldest types of ecosystems in the world. It will therefore not surprise anyone that the most beautiful plants originate in rainforests. They naturally grow in dense vegetation and at a fairly constant temperature with almost continuous clouds. This ensures that the bright sun is stopped and the heat hardly escapes. In addition, they often grow under large trees and other large plants, which spread the light through dense plant growth. That is why there are few tropical plants that can tolerate bright and direct sunlight. 

Substrate and nutrients

The fertile layer is very thin on the soil, which naturally contains the plants. Organic waste is quickly converted by insects, fungi and bacteria into nutrients and then absorbed directly through the trees and plants. Because there is no cold season in the rainforest, nutrients are absorbed throughout the year.

Mimic

To make a tropical plant flourish as well as possible, it is important to mimic the natural climate of the plant as much as possible. Then the plant will be able to achieve its optimum growth and retain its health.
