Doritis

Although the Doritis orchid was long characterized as its own genus, today the Doritis is not officially its own orchid genus. Today, the Doritis officially falls under the mega genus Phalaenopsis. So Doritis pulcherrima is now called Phalaenopsis pulcherrima by official sources. The flowers are small and bloom on an elongated flower branch. They are often pink, white, purple or yellow in color. It is a subtle and elegant flower branch with several flowers attached. This butterfly orchid is perennial popular among lovers of decorative orchids.
