Hylocereus

The Hylocereus is known as Papaya plant and as Dragon fruit plant or Dragon fruit plant and originally grows in Central and South America. Besides being able to get fantastic edible kiwi-like fruits with intense colors, this cactus also gets beautiful large flowers. Nowadays, the official genus of the plant is Selenicereus. So for the hobbyist, it is a hearty plant to keep. There are a number of different varieties of the alien-looking fruit. For example, the papaya can have pink flesh with a pink exterior or have white flesh with a pink or yellow skin. The cactus can also reach a height of more than 10 meters when the plant can climb. It is a very easy houseplant that can stand in both cool and warm spaces.
