The Leptotes is a genus of miniature orchids. These small orchids are found in nature in the dry jungles of South America. The growth method of these mini orchids is similar to that of the Brassavola, because this species also gets narrow leaves.
This is a very nice orchid when you have more experience with tropical plants. The care of the leptotes is a bit more challenging than most popular orchids.
In total there are 9 species of the leptotes, but only 5 of them are well described. For the rest, this orchid family is really a rarity. It is therefore very special to have this orchid in your collection.
