The Porpax is a genus of orchids that are endemic to tropical Asia. Characteristic of the genus are the flat pseudobulbs. They are very small orchids that, for example easily in a terrarium can grow. They like to grow epiphytic and in high humidity. Usually, only 1 calyx-shaped flower. They usually have leaves around flowering and then the pseudobulbs remain. Popular species include the Porpax thaiongiae, Porpax ustulata and the Porpax elwesii.
