Browsing in a garden center looking for new plants for your room or garden is a fun weekend activity. But if you are a true lover of the special and rare plants or if you're looking for something different for once, be sure to check out the physical store of Nursery Claessen Orchids and Plants. Here you can find the rarest green houseplants and variegata plants for small, but also larger price tags. All kinds of gems at 1 location in Central Limburg: Nederweert-Eind.
At the facebook and instagram page of Claessen Orchids and Plants, you can learn more about what kinds of plants will be offered at these sale days. But to give you a taste, here are some of the product types you can expect:
Monstera
The Monstera is a relatively easy plant to care for. However, we do have the rarest and most sought-after plants in our range, such as the Monstera adansonii variegata and the Monstera deliciosa variegata. The latter is a beautiful variegata plant is extremely rare and sought after. The true tropical plant lover is usually looking for a unique specimen in a desired pattern. Feel free to stop by the booths on June 11 and 12 or ask one of our staff members about the plant you are looking for. Perhaps we can help you find your dream plant!
Syngonium
These special, playful plants are an excellent addition to a terrarium and can have the most unusual or funny patterns. The plant also makes a good gift to give, as it is a fairly easy plant to care for. So for the novice plant collector, this is highly recommended!
Anthurium
This plant is often a classic of tropical plants for the living room. In a regular plant store, then, you won't find much of interest from this. This is on our outdoor sale very different. From this plant are namely the special Anthurium crystallinum "Silver Queen." But also the Anthurium villenaorum and the Anthurium regale can be found here.
Philodendron
The Philodendron is another classic and often a relatively easy plant to maintain. There are a lot of variegated varieties of this plant, many of which have dropped in price. So at the outdoor sale you will find attractive prices of these as well.
Epipremnum
This plant is often confused with a Philodendron, yet it is a different genus. There are also some rare gems of these, as well as a few on sale. These will, of course, be offered at the outdoor sale in June. From the Nearly Black to the pinnatum variegata albo, there is something of interest for everyone.
Alocasia
This classic houseplant also has some extremely rare varieties in circulation. We managed to get our hands on a few of them. Some of these plants will be found outdoors. But is your sought-after plant not listed at the outdoor sale? Feel free to ask the seller if it might be available in the back. This is because some species are too sensitive to be placed outside. The staff will be happy to help you with your search for the rarest gem.
Begonia
The Begonia is another classic among houseplants. But often one comes across the most average Begonias in the garden center. For the more special and unique specimens at both high and low prices, visit the outdoor sale in June. There will be at least a handful of different distinct and unique Begonia varieties.
Hoya
The Hoya is a plant we have offered for many a year. Of this we have the most inexpensive as well as the more expensive and rarer varieties for sale. At the outdoor sale you can expect high discounts on these and both the species with spots and the ones with cute little leaves.
Jewel orchid
This is a well-known terrarium plant that can have very cute, adorable flowers. But it is particularly known for its beautiful, glittery leaves. In the sunlight, it looks like someone dropped a jar of glitter on this special orchid. The Jewel Orchid stays small and compact, but will steal the show among your plants with its beautiful shimmering, velvety leaves.
Cuttings
Last year at the outdoor sale there was a bruising corner for plants that would normally be rejected for sale on the webshop. Many people really liked this and additionally asked for more cuttings to be offered. Of course, Claessen Orchids and Plants listened to this. Cuttings of the most rare plants will be for sale with a lower price than the rooted version. As soon as there is a new edition of the outdoor sale, you will be informed via the socials and the newsletter.
