The Syngonium is a popular tropical houseplant, which is usually quite easy to care for, especially for beginners. However, be mindful that the room temperature doesn't drop below 15 degrees Celsius in the winter. In the summer, this species can even withstand temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius.

These plants thrive in high humidity and indirect sunlight, but they can also be placed a bit farther from the window. In their natural habitat, these climbing plants can grow up to 20 meters high on a tree. However, it's less likely for these plants to climb so high indoors. If you don't allow the Syngonium to climb or support it with stakes, the plant will eventually start trailing, which is why the Syngonium is also a popular hanging plant for indoors.

Many Syngoniums have a distinctive arrowhead-shaped leaf. That's why this species is sometimes referred to as the 'Arrowhead' or arrowhead plant. Another amusing nickname for the plant is 'goosefoot.' The leaves of the Syngonium come in a wide range of colors and shapes. Some Syngoniums have soft leaves, while others have a smooth texture. Additionally, there are many variegated plants with colorful patterns in this plant genus.

The Syngonium doesn't like to have its feet too wet for too long, but the soil should not completely dry out before watering. Therefore, water moderately as soon as the top layer of the potting soil is dry, and the soil at the bottom of the pot is still slightly moist. Don't let the Syngonium sit in overly damp soil for too long, as this can cause root rot.

The Syngonium is also an air-purifying houseplant.
