The Sedirea is not officially its own orchid genus anymore. Today, these orchids fall under the Phalaenopsis-genus. However, the famous Sedirea japonica is still called Sedirea in the nursery world because of the special appearance of this species and secretly also because we have been used to it for so long. The Sedirea is a very special butterfly orchid from Southeast Asia and has cute little scented flowers in a cluster during the bloom. With proper care, this orchid blooms for a long time and sometimes even several times a year.
